Your tasks
In this role, you will be at the forefront of advancing Continental Tires’ mixing technologies and translating innovative material concepts into reliable, high-performance production processes. As a (Senior) Process Development Engineer Mixing, you combine deep technical expertise with a collaborative mindset to drive process excellence across development and manufacturing. By working closely with plants and cross-functional teams, you actively contribute to shaping efficient, future-ready mixing processes that meet the highest standards of performance, quality and productivity.
- You develop new mixing process technologies, to produce future material technologies for Conti Tires; ensuring the best balance between performance, quality and productivity.
- You are responsible for the development, specification and release of new mixing processes in production environment, in close cooperation with our plants and other development departments.
- You define process requirements that are important for the upgrade and purchase of mixing production equipment.
- You are involved in structured problem solving, where you support plants, Material PI and other groups with your expertise of mixing processes.
- You lead and participate in multidisciplinary projects and task forces.
Your profile
- Academic degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or a comparable field, MSc, Dipl.-Ing. or Dipl.-Chem.
- Experience in rubber processing, preferably in mixing.
- Genuine interest in the chemistry of compound systems during mixing and in understanding the mixer as a chemical reactor.
- Affinity for digitalization and IT-related topics.
- Very good command of the English language, both written and spoken; German language skills are an advantage.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills across different hierarchical levels.
- Strong analytical and academic mindset.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
