Your mission

As a QA Engineer, you will become part of a team that develops and operates highly complex access control and ticketing solutions. Your mission: ensure the quality of our systems - from hardware and firmware to software. You will automate tests, analyze defects, collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and product management, and introduce modern testing methods, including AI-driven automation.

Your responsibilities in detail:

• Development, maintenance, and extension of automated test frameworks with a focus on Robot Framework and Python
• Testing complex end-to-end systems consisting of hardware, software, and firmware
• Building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins and Azure
• Integrating automated tests into build and deployment processes
• Analyzing defects, log files, and system behavior in distributed architectures
• Contributing to the further development of the testing strategy, including AI-based test automation
• Working with virtualization technologies such as VMs and Docker containers
• Handling relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL
• Close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams in development, DevOps, and product management

Your profile

• Several years of experience in test automation
• Very good knowledge of Robot Framework and Python
• Experience in testing complex systems with hardware, software, and firmware
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Jenkins, pipelines, and modern DevOps processes
• Ideally experience with virtualization, VMs, and Docker containers
• Knowledge of relational databases, Oracle and PostgreSQL are an advantage
• Experience with AI-driven test automation is a plus
• Strong communication skills and an analytical, structured approach
• Very good English skills, both written and spoken; German is optional

Due to legal requirements, the collective agreement minimum salary for this position is EUR 47,810.14 gross per year based on full-time employment. Axess offers a highly attractive, performance-based salary aligned with qualifications and professional experience, significantly above the collective agreement for employees in the metal industry.
