Location: Wien. Workload: 4 days a week. Work model: hybrid, 2/3 remote days per week.

Your Tasks
- Together with the enterprise architect, define the target architecture for the Digital Euro Pilot; assess local vs. central implementation across RBI Group entities.
- Design integration patterns between Digital Euro components and Core Banking Systems; define interfaces to payment platforms, settlement, liquidity management, and customer channels.
- Evaluate Digital Euro vendors and platforms; support build-vs-buy decisions and vendor selection. Facilitate architecture workshops; identify risks, dependencies, and design gaps.
- Prepare architecture recommendations and management-ready summaries and present them to sponsors/SteerCo; support go/no-go decisions.
- Deliverables: target architecture, integration blueprint, CBS/payment landscape assessment, decision papers, gap analysis, and roadmap.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Solution or Enterprise Architect with a strong banking/financial services background.
- Hands-on experience with Core Banking Systems (Temenos, SAP Banking, Finacle, Avaloq, Hogan or similar).
- Solid understanding of payment architectures and processing, plus deep expertise in ISO 20022 (pain/pacs/camt), SWIFT MT/MX, and cross-border payments.
- Experience with TARGET Services (T2/TARGET2, TIPS), settlement, liquidity management, and reconciliation.
- Design of large-scale integration architectures in complex banking environments; strong understanding of API-first, microservices, event-driven integration, and cloud-native.
- Experience with regulatory and compliance requirements in banking.
- Experience with CBDC initiatives or Digital Euro projects and ECB Digital Euro concepts is highly preferred.
- Experience in international multi-entity organizations.
- Fluent English (mandatory); German and/or CEE languages are an advantage.
