What you can expect

The team of Prof. Sabine Kirchmayr-Schliesselberger is seeking a pre-doctoral university assistant starting in August 2026 to support teaching and research in the field of tax law, with a particular interest in issues relating to tax law. The announcement is made for four years, whereby the employment relationship is initially limited to 1.5 years and is automatically extended to a total of four years, unless the employer submits a declaration of non-renewal after a maximum of 12 months.

Your future tasks

You actively participate in research, teaching and administration, which means:

  • We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
  • You participate in publications and academic articles.
  • You are involved in research projects and scientific studies.
  • You are involved in the organisation of conferences, meetings and symposiums.
  • You apply for projects and raise external funds.
  • Independent teaching of courses defined by the collective agreement.
  • You supervise students.
  • You participate in evaluation activities and in quality assurance.
  • You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.

This is part of your personality

  • Master’s degree in law or an equivalent qualification completed.
  • Professional competence: knowledge of especially Austrian tax law.
  • Methodological competencies: jurisprudential methods.
  • Knowledge of principles of teaching.
  • High ability to express yourself both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken German.
  • High command of written and spoken English.
  • IT user skills.
  • Ability to work in a team.
