The Department of Safeguards carries out the IAEA's duties and responsibilities as the world's nuclear inspectorate, supporting global efforts to stop the spread of nuclear weapons. The Division of Information Management implements methodologies and techniques for the collection, processing and analysis of safeguards-relevant information, including State declarations, sample and measurement analysis, open sources, nuclear trade-related data and satellite imagery.
Reporting to the Section Head and in close collaboration with the Senior Safeguards Analyst (Open Source), the Safeguards Information Analyst (Open Source) contributes to the IAEA's nuclear verification mission by collecting, processing and analysing safeguards-relevant open source information to be consolidated with other types of information available to the Department of Safeguards.
The Safeguards Information Analyst is an analyst, team member and project leader contributing to the strengthened safeguards system, State evaluation, and analytical or tools development tasks.
The IAEA offers a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $70212, a variable post adjustment currently amounting to US $39249, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses, six weeks annual leave, home leave travel, pension plan and health insurance.
