The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences has a vacancy for a Senior Scientist. The candidate should have extensive knowledge of HPLC in order to effectively lead research and teaching tasks. We are a dedicated and internationally leading team and offer a creative working environment, flexible working hours and an adequate starting salary. The position is initially limited to 1 year with the option for a permanent contract.

Your future tasks:

Active participation in research, teaching and administration, which means:

• Providing technical support for research projects at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Routine maintenance and coordination of repairs to analytical and preparative HPLC equipment.
• Planning and carrying out your own research projects in the field of pharmaceutical chemistry.
• Publishing research results in English-language journals.
• Independently holding courses in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement.
• Taking on administrative tasks in research and teaching.
• Providing technical support for the chromatographic separation of drugs.

This is part of your personality:

• Completed doctoral/PhD studies in pharmacy/chemistry or similar.
• Publications in renowned peer-reviewed journals.
• Excellent technical and methodological skills in separation and analysis techniques, including enantiomeric purity analysis, and high-resolution mass spectrometry.
• Experience in independently holding courses.
• High level of written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of university processes and structures.
• Experience with common operating systems and software applications for automated measurement and evaluation of HPLC separations is desirable.
• Excellent English skills C1.
• Team player with strong social and communication skills.
• IT skills.
