Job Description

THE CHALLENGE

  • Ensure smooth cooperation with the Divisional People Partners, Centre of Excellences (CoEs) and People Operations; input to processes and ways of working where applicable; actively drive change in the people teams. Partner with Talent Acquisition to scout and build relationships with local stakeholders for recruitment. Collaborates with People Counsel team when needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact and country subject matter expert for employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances. Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws to ensure compliance and maintain positive employee relations.
  • Responsible to onboard and offboard physically any new employee on location, working closely with line manager, talent acquisition team, local IT point of contact and responsible divisional partner.
  • Manage payroll and employment contracts and related paperwork. Manage relations with local employment financial institutions such as Labor Office, Health/Social/Pension insurance companies. Ensure data are updated on time in full line with the contracts and divisional direction, including communication to local payroll.
  • Stay up to date on country, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are following relevant legislation. Partner with Compliance and Risk to ensure employee data integrity as well as relevant trainings are implemented. Stay responsible for Health and Safety compliance requirements, building up competencies locally.
  • Adapt and implement the relevant and selected People Strategic initiatives locally. Ensure local initiatives on Talents, Learning & Development are implemented.
  • Partner with the local Functional Leaders to understand, translate business needs into the relevant actions when comes to people, culture and organization, including local values activation plans and Hybrid working.
  • Drives engagement, CSR and DEI activities locally. Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Partner with Divisional People Partner to gather employee insights and address areas for improvement. Identify ways to engage on-site and remote employees.
  • Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits. Work closely with benefits vendors and brokers and people operations team.
  • Support the local trainings and relevant programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities delivery.
  • Act as subject matter expert internally and liaise internally with Legal and externally with immigration teams on relocation support, including immigration matters where applicable.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in HRM or related field, or experience equivalent.
  • Sound knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations specific to the country.
  • Customer centricity, high-level communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills as well as accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant HR software applications.
  • German and English fluent.

Additional Information

The minimum monthly salary for this position is according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Overpayment will be considered depending on qualifications and working experience.

Rund 150.000 Menschen öffnen jeden Tag laola1.at oder ski1.at. Betrieben werden die beiden Sportportale von der Sportradar Media Services GmbH am Rothschildplatz in Wien-Leopoldstadt. Im selben Haus steuert ein Master Control Room jährlich mehr als 400.000 Livestreams, unter anderem für die NHL und den DFB. Zur Eröffnung des Standorts im Mai 2024 arbeiteten dort rund 415 Menschen aus 45 Nationen.

Das Haus hat zwei Seiten. Die eine ist Redaktion: Sportjournalistinnen und Sportjournalisten berichten über Fußball und Skisport, dazu kommen TV-Studios und ein Streamingangebot unter LAOLA1.tv. Die andere Seite ist Technik. In Wien entwickeln Teams Videoplattformen für Ligen und Verbände, etwa für die NHL, den DFB und den asiatischen Fußballverband AFC, und im Master Control Room laufen die Übertragungen rund um die Uhr über die Kontrollpulte. Die Medienbehörde RTR führt LAOLA1.tv als Fernsehveranstalter, verbreitet über Kabelnetze, digital-terrestrisch und übers Internet. Auch Portale wie 90minuten.at und eishockey.at sind dort auf die Gesellschaft registriert.

Nicht alles läuft über die eigene Marke. Mehr als 300 Unternehmen buchen nach Angaben von LAOLA1 Werbe- und Content-Formate rund um das Portal, und für Klubs, Ligen und Medienhäuser produziert das Team Videos und digitale Dienste. Auf den Social-Media-Kanälen folgen der Marke rund 350.000 Menschen.

Seit 2016 gehört die Gesellschaft zu Sportradar, davor lag sie in österreichischem Eigentum. Der Konzern wurde 2001 gegründet, sitzt in St. Gallen, ist an der Nasdaq notiert und beschäftigt nach eigenen Angaben mehr als 3.900 Menschen in 20 Ländern. Über eine Million Sportereignisse wertet Sportradar pro Jahr aus, zu den Partnern zählen die UEFA und die NBA. Für Wien heißt das konkret: Was hier gebaut wird, läuft bei Verbänden auf mehreren Kontinenten.

Den Standort am Austria Campus bezog das Unternehmen im Mai 2024, gut 4.500 Quadratmeter im zweiten Bezirk. Im Haus stehen ein Padel-Court, ein Fitnessraum und eine subventionierte Kantine. Gearbeitet wird hybrid mit flexiblen Zeiten, das Öffi-Ticket bezuschusst der Arbeitgeber. Gesucht werden in Wien regelmäßig Entwicklerinnen und Entwickler, dazu Rollen in Buchhaltung und Personalarbeit. Aktuellere Beschäftigtenzahlen als jene vom Mai 2024 veröffentlicht die Gesellschaft nicht.

LAOLA1 ging nach Unternehmensangaben vor mehr als 22 Jahren online. Österreichs größtes Sportportal ist es nach eigener Darstellung bis heute.
