At SCCH, groundbreaking scientific innovation thrives on diverse perspectives. SCCH is expanding its Quantum Focus Group and is looking for an experienced, collaborative researcher to bridge the gap between quantum theory and industrial reality.

Your Impact & Tasks
- Innovate: Lead research and development of cutting-edge quantum computing technologies tailored for industrial applications.
- Build: Design and implement complex methods, algorithms, and tools for quantum modeling and simulation.
- Connect: Build strong relationships and collaborate closely with leading industrial partners and international scientific consortia.
- Share: Publish your findings in high-impact journals and present your work at prestigious international conferences and scientific meetings.
What You Bring to the Team
SCCH values deep expertise combined with a collaborative spirit. The role is suited to candidates passionate about translating quantum theory into practical, industrial applications.
The Essentials
- Collaboration: You enjoy mentoring junior researchers, including PhD candidates, and engaging in active team brainstorming as well as independent research.
- Education: A PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on quantum technologies.
- Knowledge: A strong, proven understanding of Quantum Computing and/or Quantum Information Science.
- Languages: Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken. German is a welcome bonus but not required.

Proven experience or deep expertise in one or several of the following areas:
- Quantum computing platforms and algorithm development
- High-Performance Computing and simulation
- Software engineering and machine learning
- Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in commercializing research through spin-offs based on IP and technologies developed at SCCH
