Do you enjoy supporting researchers with technical tasks and measurements, both in the laboratory and during international aircraft measurement campaigns on climate and environmental topics? Do you design and 3D-print your own components for direct use in measuring instruments, work in a structured manner and enjoy travelling? Is setting up computers and resolving network issues no problem for you? If so, we look forward to getting to know you.
As a technician with a HTL Matura and relevant professional experience, ideally HTL engineer, or with equivalent qualifications such as state-certified technician or a relevant Bachelor's degree in physics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, aerospace engineering, computer science or similar, you will support the research work of the Aerosol Physics and Environmental Physics group.
In an international university research environment, you can expect a varied job as part of the technical team. You will be involved in the development and operation of ground-based and aircraft-based in-situ aerosol measurement instruments and will work on pioneering projects in atmospheric and climate research.
You will regularly cooperate with leading international institutions such as NASA, NOAA and NCAR. The position is limited until May 2027 to the duration of an employee's absence due to parental part-time employment. If the employee is not returning full time, the position can be extended by mutual agreement.
