YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

You define and maintain validation strategies for wireless network features and system capabilities.
You verify compliance with system requirements, performance targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
You conduct latency, throughput, scalability, and coverage testing to assess overall network performance.
You validate mobility, handover, and inter-radio access technology (IRAT) performance across wireless environments.
You develop test methodologies, validation frameworks, and automation approaches to improve testing efficiency and quality.
You support certification activities, field trials, and customer acceptance testing to ensure technical readiness.
You analyze network performance issues, perform root cause investigations, and provide objective readiness assessments to stakeholders.

THATS YOU

Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
Experience in wireless system testing, network validation, and performance analysis within cellular communication environments.
Strong knowledge of 4G LTE, 5G NR, IoT technologies, and wireless network integration.
Understanding of public and private mobile network architectures and their operational requirements.
Hands-on experience with RF testing, KPI-driven product validation, and network performance benchmarking.
Knowledge of wireless protocols, troubleshooting methodologies, and root cause analysis techniques.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
Fluent English language skills; German or additional languages are a plus.

Wenn beim Neujahrskonzert die Kameras laufen oder an der Formel-1-Strecke die Teams über Funk sprechen, steckt dahinter oft Technik, die in Wien mitentwickelt wurde. Riedel Communications Austria GmbH baut die Funk- und Datennetze, über die bei Live-Übertragungen und Großveranstaltungen Bild, Ton und Sprache in Echtzeit zusammenlaufen. Der Standort in Wien-Meidling ist seit 1998 aktiv. Heute ist er der zweitgrößte des Unternehmens weltweit.

Los ging es in Österreich mit einem großen Auftrag für den ORF und der Übernahme eines kleinen Elektronikbetriebs. Aus diesem Start wurde der wichtigste Entwicklungsstandort der Gruppe. Zwei der drei zentralen Produktfamilien entstanden hier: MediorNet überträgt Video und Daten über Glasfaser, und das drahtlose Intercom-System Bolero wurde ebenfalls in Wien entwickelt. Ergänzt wird das durch das digitale Matrix-Intercom Artist, das Kernprodukt des Unternehmens. Solche Systeme sorgen dafür, dass bei einer Übertragung oder einem Event alle Beteiligten in Echtzeit miteinander sprechen und Signale sicher übertragen werden.

Gearbeitet wird an Hard- und Software. Entwicklerinnen und Entwickler tüfteln an Funkstrecken und Glasfaser-Übertragung, im Vertrieb und im Bereich Managed Technology betreut das Team Kunden und Live-Einsätze. Von Wien aus steuert das Unternehmen außerdem das Geschäft in Mittel- und Osteuropa; die Verantwortung reicht über 17 Märkte. Rund 40 Menschen arbeiten am Standort in einem international zusammengesetzten Team, und der österreichische Umsatz hat sich seit 2020 verdoppelt (aba.gv.at). Die Muttergesellschaft wurde 1987 im deutschen Wuppertal von Thomas Riedel gegründet und beschäftigt heute weltweit über 800 Mitarbeitende.

Riedel-Technik ist bei Formel-1-Rennen, Olympischen Spielen und Weltmeisterschaften im Einsatz, aber auch näher an Wien: beim Neujahrskonzert und im Burgtheater. Gerade dort zählt Verlässlichkeit, weil auch die Sicherheit von Menschen an der Kommunikation dahinter hängt.
