Electrical & Automation Maintenance Engineer
In your role as an Electrical & Automation Maintenance Engineer, you will ensure the reliable operation of industrial electrical and automation systems. You will troubleshoot technical issues, support equipment optimization, and work closely with suppliers and internal teams to improve machine performance and reliability.
Your Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and maintain industrial electrical and automation systems, including low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to Siemens SIMATIC S7 PLCs, TIA Portal, servo drives, motors, relays, frequency converters, and distributed I/O systems.
- Read, analyze, and troubleshoot Siemens PLC programs written in LAD, FBD, STL (AWL), and SCL.
- Install, commission, and maintain PROFINET and PROFIBUS communication networks.
- Perform cable installation, termination, EMC compliance checks, shielding continuity measurements, grounding verification, and communication diagnostics.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and conduct root-cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Resolve electrical, automation, drive, and network-related issues to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers on software and hardware improvement projects and support continuous optimization initiatives.
Your Profile
- Technical education in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial electrical and automation systems.
- Strong knowledge of Siemens SIMATIC S7 PLCs, TIA Portal, industrial drives, and fieldbus communication systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Experience with PROFINET and PROFIBUS network installation, commissioning, and diagnostics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to root-cause analysis.
- Experience in semiconductor, plating, chemical processing, or other high-tech manufacturing environments is considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance, continuous improvement methodologies, industrial safety standards, and risk assessment practices.
