When joining Tieto Tech Consulting as a (Senior) Data Engineer, you
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms and data solutions tailored to business needs, including governance structures and access control concepts
- Design, implement and optimize robust data pipelines using modern frameworks such as Databricks or similar technologies
- Manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments, including containerization and orchestration
- Act as a trusted technical advisor and sparring partner for customers
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver impactful data-driven solutions
- Monitor, optimize and ensure the performance, scalability and reliability of data workflows
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in data engineering and apply innovative approaches to solve complex challenges
Who we are looking for
- 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing scalable data solutions, platforms, and data integration interfaces
- Strong expertise in data modeling, such as dimensional modeling and normalization or denormalization
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Azure, with AWS or GCP also welcome
- Experience with tools like Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and architectural patterns such as Medallion
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
- Software engineering mindset including Git, CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Consulting mindset with a customer-centric approach
- Fluency in German at C1 level and English
- Passion for emerging technologies and continuous learning in the data and AI landscape

The annual gross salary for this position will start from a monthly gross salary € 3.954,- on a full-time basis, depending on qualifications and experience, as well as the type of contract.
