Your tasks

  • Maintenance and further development of the quality management system, including adaptation of necessary processes, procedural instructions and checklists based on Bosch internal and Aviation-specific requirements
  • Recording, evaluation and documentation of information regarding product quality (e.g. 8D) and process quality (quality and process assessments) with reporting to the management including suggestions for continuous improvement
  • Monitoring and participation in quality management activities at project level (in particular coach on risk management methodologies and initial sample inspections)
  • Prepare and moderate the management evaluation
  • Prepare and conduct internal and external audits, as well as monitor and implement the resulting measures
  • Create and coordinate quality assurance contracts with customers and supplier
  • Preparation and support of external audits by customers or authorities in the company and at suppliers
  • Responsible for product change management
  • Internal and external contact and coach in all quality-related topics (counterfeit parts, storage structure, access rights)
  • Supplier quality: Involvement in the release, evaluation and development of suppliers
  • Process customer complaints and support customer escalations
  • Appointment as QM representative with release and escalation rights, as well as direct access to the Board of Management

Your profile

  • Personality and Working Style: You think strategically, act holistically, and build strong relationships across stakeholder groups.
  • Experience and Know-how: You bring experience in stakeholder management and quality audits, ideally within aviation, automotive, or Bosch environments.
  • Qualifications / Passion: You are certified auditor according to EN 9100 or ISO 9001 and are passionate about quality excellence.
  • Education: You hold a degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a comparable technical field.
  • Languages: You are fluent in German and English.

Working Hours: 38.5 hours per week

We believe in offering fair compensation that reflects your skills and experience. The annual gross salary for this position starts at EUR 63.000 based on a 38.5-hour work week and may be significantly higher depending on qualifications and experience, in line with the Collective Agreement for the Metal Industry. This position is not offered on an all-in contract basis. In addition, you will benefit from a company success bonus and a range of attractive local benefits. In Hallein bei Salzburg entstehen Einspritzsysteme für Großmotoren, die später in Schiffen, Lokomotiven und Aggregaten zur Stromerzeugung rund um die Welt laufen. Rund 1.000 Menschen arbeiten an diesem einen Standort. Bosch ist seit 1899 in Österreich tätig und beschäftigt hier heute etwa 3.300 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter, rund 1.300 davon in Forschung und Entwicklung.

Die Bosch-Gruppe ist in Österreich mit allen vier Unternehmensbereichen präsent: Mobility, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods sowie Energy and Building Technology. Größte Gesellschaft ist die Robert Bosch AG mit Sitz in Wien-Landstraße. Dort, in der Göllnergasse, sitzt nicht nur die österreichische Zentrale. Im selben Haus arbeiten Entwicklungsteams, der Vertrieb für Heiztechnik und Elektrowerkzeuge und der Kundendienst. Daneben gehören unter anderem die Bosch Rexroth GmbH und die BSH Hausgeräte GmbH zur Gruppe in Österreich.

Wien, Linz und Hallein sind internationale Entwicklungs-Kompetenzzentren der Mobilitätstechnik. Das heißt konkret: Am Engineering Center in Linz werden Einblasventile für Gas- und Wasserstoffmotoren sowie Elektrolyse-Stacks zur Wasserstofferzeugung entwickelt, in Wien arbeiten Softwarearchitektinnen und Chipentwickler an Steuergeräte-Software und Chiplet-Technologie. Hallein ist das internationale Kompetenzzentrum der Gruppe für Großmotoren. 2025 flossen rund 200 Millionen Euro in Forschung und Entwicklung, etwa 18 Prozent des österreichischen Umsatzes von rund 1,12 Milliarden Euro. Wie viele Beschäftigte auf die einzelnen Standorte entfallen, weist das Unternehmen öffentlich nur für Hallein aus.

Die Bandbreite an Berufen ist entsprechend groß. In Hallein stehen Werkstofftechniker und Zerspanungsfachkräfte an den Maschinen, während in Controlling, Einkauf und Logistik die kaufmännische Seite des Werks läuft. Wer aus der Softwareentwicklung kommt, findet in Linz und Wien Aufgaben rund um Antriebssteuerung, vernetzte Mobilität und künstliche Intelligenz.

Bosch bildet in Österreich auch selbst aus. In Hallein betreuen fünf Lehrlingsausbilder die Lehrlinge in Mechatronik und Metalltechnik, ab Herbst 2026 kommt die Konstruktions- und Maschinenbautechnik dazu. Wer will, macht die Lehre mit Matura oder verbringt einen Teil der Ausbildung im Ausland. Für Studierende gibt es Praktika, für Absolventinnen und Absolventen eigene Einstiegsprogramme.

Investiert wird weiter in die Standorte: In Hallein baut Bosch die Methanol-Infrastruktur aus, in Linz die Wasserstoff-Infrastruktur.
