Role Purpose

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and test high-quality embedded software, translating customer and product requirements into reliable, scalable platform capabilities that support next-generation V2X and GNSS technologies.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Design, develop, and validate embedded V2X and GNSS software and supporting development tools.
  • Implement high-quality, maintainable, and reusable code following best practices for embedded systems.
  • Collaborate with product management and design teams to translate user needs and product requirements into scalable platform capabilities.
  • Contribute to system design discussions, ensuring robust, efficient, and extensible solutions.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • A technical degree, preferably a master degree in systems engineering, software architecture, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in embedded software development and Linux based applications.
  • Expert-level proficiency in C and C++ is required; knowledge of IBM Rational Rhapsody is a plus.
  • Familiarity with application interfaces for communication protocols, particularly V2X, GNSS, 3G/4G, TCP/IP, BT and LWM2M, is desirable.
  • Proven experience in developing testable code, implementing automated unit tests, and working with automated test environments.
  • A proactive approach, strong teamwork skills, and effective communication abilities.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Docker is advantageous, as is familiarity with Kibana and Grafana.
  • Business-fluent English is essential; German language skills are an asset.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes.
