Software, UI & Agentic Systems Engineer (m/w/d)

  • Engineer
  • Full-Time
  • Graz, Austria (hybrid)

About us

We build an AI-powered, hardware-agnostic intelligence layer for AGV/AMR fleets — the fleet orchestrator. Three modules, one system: insight (seeing what's happening — movement, near-misses, blockages), planning (simulating layouts and material flows before they exist), and orchestration (coordinating manual and autonomous fleets in real time).

What really matters to us

Judgment over syntax. You think in systems and can tell when the output of an agent — or a colleague — is wrong, fragile or over-engineered. That matters far more to us than deep expertise in any single language. You write code yourself, guide coding agents, review their results and take ownership of the quality of that output.

What you’ll work on

  • Ship real product features in Go and Python, with React on the frontend
  • Push our agentic capabilities forward with LangGraph — design, test and harden multi-step agent workflows
  • Get hands-on with LLM training and evaluation: fine-tuning, benchmarks, regression tests for model behavior
  • Take our SDLC to the next level — CI/CD, test infrastructure, release process, code quality
  • Go where the robots are — integrate and validate orchestration logic against real AGV/AMR hardware in the field

What you bring

  • You communicate confidently in German, including with customers and in the field (C1 or higher). Good English is part of the package.
  • A solid technical foundation, ideally a completed degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
  • Strong architectural judgment
  • Real hands-on experience building or running LLM-based agents (LangGraph or similar)
  • You know how to evaluate and test LLM output, not just prompt it
  • Go, Python and React are a plus, not a requirement — learning whatever the problem needs counts for more
  • Curiosity about robotics and a willingness to get your hands dirty with hardware in the field
  • A ship-it mindset — reliable, not just clever

Nice to have

  • Experience with fleet management, logistics, or industrial automation systems
  • A background in simulation or planning algorithms

What's actually in it for you

  • You're not maintaining someone else's codebase — you're building the architecture this company runs on for years. Your calls on how the agentic system is designed show up in the product, not in a suggestion box
  • Small team means your name is on the outcome, good or bad — and that's the point
  • Need to go for a run at 2pm between two meetings? Go. That's what flextime means here — not a buzzword
  • Core time 9am–12pm, flexible the rest of the day, plus 1 day of home office per week
  • Working holidays
  • Klimaticket Steiermark, fully covered
  • Office in the city center with a terrace facing the Schlossberg, right next to the Mur — good for a coffee between debugging sessions or clearing your head before a deploy
  • Real access to the startup scene: events, community, the people building the same kind of thing you are

Salary

Fair pay matters to us. The minimum gross monthly salary for this position is €4,061. Depending on experience and qualifications, we're of course happy to offer more.

Application

Interested? Send us your CV at career@openmaind.ai. Instead of a traditional cover letter, we’re curious about something else: tell us in 3–5 sentences about an LLM agent you’ve built or run. What was it meant to solve, and what didn’t work as expected? We read every application personally and get back to you within two weeks.
